I was out on a walk yesterday evening and saw a storm to the south that looked like a good photo opportunity for some lightning shots. I decided to avoid the city lights and went south of the Interstate to the Platte. By this time the storm had been going on for a while, but I had at least 20 minutes of good lightning before other clouds moved in and blocked the view.

The Platte River at nightThe lightnight was no longer visible, so I had the shutter locked open waiting to see if there would be one more bolt. 39 second exposure.

It was a beautiful lightning storm. Glad I didn't miss this one. :)
